Jason has a varied background, having worked on the high seas for two years, and as a skipper and commercial diver. While working as a tuna grader for a company that exports tuna, Jason observed that products from southern African were very popular on international seafood markets and he became interested in exploring opportunities in aquaculture, rather than capture fisheries. He has managed an oyster bar and has enjoyed the challenge of producing premium oysters for the consumer. He has also worked to develop abalone ranching in Namibia. Currently, Jason is working to develop and manufacture oyster farming equipment to suit the specific needs of Viking Aquaculture.
